Traci Beck
Former Bellefonte Grad, Traci Beck, visited our 8th grade elective art class to share her story of how she went from art student to pastry chef and opened up her dream donut shop! 8th graders ordered off of the menu to create a donut still life and used mixed media techniques to create donut art. Paintings were on display at Dam Donuts pastry shop and the public voted for their favorite one. Winner's received a gift card to Dam Donuts...yummy!
ZheKha
8th graders had a visit from sculptor and relief artist ZheKa. We had so much fun learning about his art techniques and listening to his “embrace your weirdness” message. Thank you ZheKa, for your illuminating presentation!

BAMS welcomed local photographers Lydia Shaffer and Mindy Methven into the classroom. Lydia and Mindy shared photography tips and techniques before they began their photography unit. Prior to Covid I regularly brought visitors in to speak with students as part of our "Artists in the Community Series."
